Master Chef at 14
After being diagnosed as a pyromaniac as a toddler, he was abandoned at the door of a small backstreet cafe in Korea. Chef Red, or as he was known then as Jimni, was adopted by the owners and brought up as their only son.
Chef Red learned everything he could from his Mama and started to evolve his own style.
Chef Red went on to become one of the forefathers of ‘Haute Cuisine’ in Korea.
Flambe Cooking
At the tender age of 13 he was wielding knives and cooking over huge flames, concocting a vast array of beautiful mouthwatering meals.
He started to get attention and people came from far and wide to get a glimpse of his flamboyant style and a taste of that mythical cooking.
Prior Experience
2007-2010
Started his own business adventure. Jimni opened his first eating establishment, the five star restaurant: “Koguryo”. It quickly became one of the most sought after places to eat amongst the Korean high flying society.
2010-2015
Held the position of ‘Personal Chef’ to Jungkook. The Lead vocalist of the famous South Korean musical band, “Bangtan Boys”.
2015-2000
Head-hunted to become the personal chef to the world-renowned uber-popular korean Pop band that is BTS.
2000-2021
Looking for more of a challenge, our chef accepted the Royal Invite to formally take up the position of Head Chef at the kitchens of the Korean Royal Family, where he remains as a consultant
2021- Present day
Jimin, having worked in the kitchens of rich and famous, was passionate about bringing the finest cuisine to homes of those that may never have had the opportunity to dine in elite establishments.
He made his goal to make Michelin star cuisine accessible to all.
On the 24th March 2021 The Fiery Kitchen was born.
